I've grown attached to my level 21 crowbar, it's a nice thing.
It's useful as well as popular (Thanks Gordon!) But it's sadly time to move on to the trusty rusty wrench.
I am content with this, because I must reach the level 39 chainsaw, as it is but one of my many goals here. And here they are.
- Attend a meat-up.
- Gain the level 39 chainsaw.
- Get a submission on the front page.
- Get an award from a submission.
- Become publicly showered with love and affection in response to a submission.
These, among becoming a great animator and artist (and perhaps musician) are my goals here at Newgrounds.
I was driving yesterday, to a hotel to fill it with food for a guest who was staying for the weekend.
It was a very nice place, great view, great assets, and a carpark that looked like a multiplayer deathmatch map. Along the trip, I saw to my right an old man on a bicycle waving at someone to my left. This was distracting, as I did not notice the roundabout ahead of me.
Thankfully, my sister was in the car and notified me of the obstacle. We survived the ordeal. Old men that wave on bicycles will now meet the wrath of a heavy vehicle ramming them from any direction.
Watch out, senior citizens.
And now for the good news! I'm entering a tournament!
Not just any tournament mind you, one on deviantArt! The deal is, it's a racing tournament, but it's interdimensional! So people, beings and robits from all walks of life, death and memory chips can compete! Hell, your vehicle can be anything from a dumpster bin with wheels to an inflatable pig!
So I decided to audition! Using my Reference Sheet and my delicious knowledge of MS Paint, I whipped up an entry and here I wait to see if I'm accepted! I'm fairly sure I am, but who knows?
So good luck to me, eh?
So I applied for a job at Sanity
and so far, so good!
On Saturday the 25th, I went in to Northbridge for a group interview, which was in this hotel and I gotta tell ya, it was really slick. Marble floors, glass windows and doors, the woiks. It was really lush! So at about 1pm, we go upstairs and wait around. The interview started at 1 30, so people slowly trickled in until there were about 15 of us. You could've cut the tension with a knife, everyone looked pretty nervous. I felt overdressed and I'm sure some of the others did too.
So we go in for like, 45 minutes and it wasn't so bad. We wrote down a bit of our information, then we had to show we could sell something (ie, our mobile phone) then we had to recommend our partners (the person next to us). The charismatic people were me and this other guy who had like a Certificate II in.. something.
So we leave, enjoy the ride home and I wait until Wednesday. If you weren't called by then, you didn't get the job. They would call the ones who succeeded because alot of people applied.
Well.
A few minutes ago I was playing Banjo Kazooie, avoiding the bloody clams and crabs on Treasure Trove Cove when the phone rang with SPOOKY SCARY SKELETONS. I picked up, and guess what?
I got the job! :D Induction on Saturday!
I felt like this was a swish. The ball was my application, and with a single flick of my wrist I succeeded!
